Second Day in Ukraine

We slept very well last night! The boys didn't stir till noon. Kath and I went for a walk and bought some cherry bear claws, a jug of water and some piva for me! Not too many folks out as it was a holiday here - the day after Victory day! We carried it all back to the apartment.

The bear claws were still warm and very good!!! The boys got up around noon and we all went up the street to get lunch around 1 PM. The restaurant had free wi-fi and we sent Elliott's homework and checked email. The food was great but a little pricey - about $50 for five of us but well worth the price. Nick and Ty left to go back to the apartment on their own so they could go skateboarding. Elliott, Kathie and I all waited and left about a half hour later.

We have tickets to the Passion: Kyiv, Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman concert tonight at 6PM so I went down to the metro to check out where we had to go and to get some headphones for my mp3 player. Could not figure out if it was one stop or 3. It appears there is a transfer involved - Elliott will have to read the signs - Don't know why they dont have signs indicating the color - all the subways are color coded - we need to go to the intersection of the Blue and Green line - the Palates Sportu (Sports Complex).

Well it was one stop and then you walk over to the Green line section and come up and there we were - a few minutes late but we weren't lost!! We walked in and we were right by the stag. What an awesome concert!!!!

Afterward we took the subway back to Victory square and went to the McDonald's to get something to eat - they closed as we walked up the steps. So we went down in the Metro and there was a McDonalds at the food court - so we were able to get something there. Then we went back to the apartment and the kids watched some 24 episodes and Kath and I went to bed.

I bet the boys are having a blast. I loved that underground mall!
